10.) The Scientist
I’d be remiss to finish this series of designs without including one specifically inspired by the Doctor’s intelligence. Whether or not the Doctor was born a genius or not by our standards, he’s had 1,000 years or so to learn quite a bit about the scientific method. His keen ability to observe and reason, combined with his expansive knowledge (much first hand) of just about-almost-everything-there-ever-was has made The Doctor’s mind one of the most potent weapons in existence.
The bookish and somewhat stodgy tone emitted from the prominent glasses, slicked hair and long coat is countered by the scarf and shirt which add a sense of casual flare and bravado to our time traveling scientist.
I added in 11th’s sonic cane - mainly because I always wondered if there was more to the episode Let’s Kill Hitler than meets the eye. The sonic cane & costume change seemed a bit out of place and unnecessary, especially considering the dire circumstances the Doctor was in. I was waiting for them to go back to this ep later in the season, to show just why he changed his clothes and where he got the cane from. Maybe they will, yet, at some point - and we’ll see Smith pop into an episode for a second to borrow this Doctor’s cane. Unlikely, but I can always imagine!
Besides, Capaldi with a cane would be great. I can easily imagine him bopping a Cyberman on the head with it.
Past Designs:
1. The Alien Gentleman
2.) The Guile Hero
3.) The Chessmaster
4.) The Grandfather
5.) The Adventurer
6.) The Time Lord
7.) The Oncoming Storm
8.) The Valeyard
9.) The Vagabond
